Aging Asia and the Pacific: Developing Long Term Care Systems and Effective Responses

ACCESS Health International recently participated in the Asian Development Bank conference on aging in Asia. The conference, entitled Aging Asia and the Pacific: Developing Long Term Care Systems and Effective Responses took place in late June in Manila. The regional conference brought together distinguished representatives from Asian Development Bank developing member countries, academia, government partners, development agencies, and the community at large, to share knowledge on aging and long term care solutions for the elderly in Asia and the Pacific.

The conference discussed long term care policies in Asia and thegrowing challenges in the region, including the physical, social, and psychological aspects of aging and long term care. It addressed the challenges and opportunities with aging populations and discussed the need to integrate long term care solutions across multiple sectors.
