ACCESS Health studies best practices in the provision and governance of health services by engagement of the private sector in public private partnership. We advise national, state, and local governments on how to create, to manage, and to govern partnerships between government and business. ACCESS Health encourages entrepreneurs to create businesses that meet the needs of the healthcare system. Our Modern Aging programs recruit and train would be entrepreneurs to create businesses to meet the needs of the elderly and chronically ill.

ACCESS Health believes that sustainable change in health systems is possible through the innovative efforts of a broad cross section of partners, including government, the private sector and entrepreneurs, the not for profit sector, and education. In India, ACCESS Health works closely with entrepreneurs building innovative business models around health that will drive sustainable change in the future. ACCESS Health India also works with state governments to support effective public private partnerships in health.

    Center for Health Market Innovations

    ACCESS Health is one of the organizations that creates content for the Center for Health Market Innovations. The Center is a digital platform that connects healthcare organizations and providers, researchers, and policymakers to learn about innovations that increase access to high quality, affordable healthcare. Most of our studies are of health programs in India, Bangladesh, and Brazil.

    Center for Health Market Innovations Learning Exchange

    The Learning Exchange provides funding to facilitate structured learning partnerships between or among organizations that are profiled by the Center for Health Market Innovations. The Learning Exchange will help programs improve business practices, adopt innovations, or scale up or replicate an aspect of their model to a new market.

  • Public Drug Procurement Project

    Public Drug Procurement Project

    ACCESS Health India analyzed drug procurement programs in five Indian states as part of the Public Drug Procurement Project. We measured the impact of these programs on the quality and availability of drugs. Our work highlighted critical success factors for efficient drug procurement systems in this context.

    The Public Private Partnerships Project nurtures a more effective and efficient healthcare system in India. The project works to establish dialogues and to strengthen collaboration between the public and private sectors through research, information sharing, and capacity building.

  • TB Drug Procurement Study

    TB Drug Procurement Study

    The ACCESS Health initiated TB Drug Procurement Study examined tuberculosis drug procurement systems in several Indian states. We worked with local governments to identify weaknesses in drug procurement programs and to increase the availability and decrease the cost of essential medicines.

ACCESS Health China led a group of students from the Bright Start Project to visit the First Respond Shanghai office on June 28, 2017.
