Consultant, Clinical Manager (Lucknow)

ACCESS Health International is a not for profit think tank and advisory group with a mission to improve access to high quality and affordable healthcare. The Primary Healthcare Program at ACCESS Health is carried out in close collaboration with governments, development partners, and healthcare providers to improve the delivery, financing, and governance of primary healthcare services. ACCESS Health International seeks dynamic, entrepreneurial candidates with an interest in new approaches to primary healthcare delivery. ACCESS Health is leading the performance monitoring function for a primary healthcare initiative in Uttar Pradesh. The consultant will work as a Clinical Manager for this project, and will be part of the Primary Healthcare team at ACCESS Health.

Responsibilities

Ensure continuous supervision of services and assess the quality of care provided by the lead implementing partner at public health facilities and in the community.

Conduct routine clinical audits to review and evaluate clinical performance.

Manage a team of data collectors and surveyors in the designated blocks

Provide training and capacity building of field surveyors and other staff as required.

Facilitate the development of protocols for and checklists for vignettes, clinical observations and other forms of quality monitoring.

Produce reports and participate in presentations to support the state team during meetings with UP Government health officials.

Carry out other relevant tasks required for the project.

Skills Required

Strong knowledge of IPHS guideline and public health programs.

Understanding of and proficiency in using quality of care measurement methods.

Knowledge of the services and functions of public health facilities at all levels.

Ability to advocate and coordinate with government officials

Qualification and Experience

MBBS/MD/Equivalent with minimum 5 years of experience in working as clinician at state, district, or block level.

Familiarity with the governance structure and public health programs of the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Should be self-motivated and creative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Should be willing to travel extensively within the selected blocks of Uttar Pradesh

Should be familiar with computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Should have fluency in written and spoken Hindi

Compensation

Salary offered will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
