Consultant, Finance Manager (Lucknow)

ACCESS Health International is a not for profit think tank and advisory group with a mission to improve access to high quality and affordable healthcare. The Primary Healthcare Program at ACCESS Health is carried out in close collaboration with governments, development partners, and healthcare providers to improve the delivery, financing, and governance of primary healthcare services. ACCESS Health International seeks dynamic, entrepreneurial candidates with an interest in new approaches to primary healthcare delivery. ACCESS Health is leading the performance monitoring function for a primary healthcare initiative in Uttar Pradesh. The consultant will work as a Finance Manager for this project, and will be part of the Primary Healthcare team at ACCESS Health.

Responsibilities

Overall coordination of the finance function and for providing general administrative support to the project.

Timely accounting, consolidation, and reporting in compliance with donor guidelines, UP Government Financial guidelines and statutory requirements of the Government of Uttar Pradesh.

Review and verification of financial reports submitted by the lead implementing agency for the project

Review of bills and invoices, and maintenance of petty cash reserves.

Assist team members in financial analysis and operational budgeting for activities and training.

Responsible for preparation and tracking of budgets for providing inputs to Program Manager/program team.

Coordinate with the Finance team at the ACCESS Health India headquarters, in budgeting and financial planning

Facilitate and co-ordinates external, internal, and donor audits.

Maintain the asset register and stock register.

Skills Required

Strong understanding of financial protocols and best practices of accounting and financial management.

Good communication skills both in English and Hindi.

Qualification and Experience

Post graduate in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent with minimum 5 years of working experience in accounting and finance management. Certification as a Charted Financial Analyst will be given preference.

Has worked as Finance Manager or Senior Accountant in any organization.

Should have experience working in the health sector

Should be self-motivated, have ownership of results, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Should be willing to travel within the selected blocks of Uttar Pradesh if required.

Should be familiar with computer software including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and financial software programs.

Compensation

Salary offered will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
