Consultant, Primary Healthcare (Uttar Pradesh)

The Primary Care program at ACCESS Health is carried out in close collaboration with governments, development partners, and healthcare providers to improve the delivery, financing, and governance of primary healthcare services. ACCESS Health International seeks dynamic, entrepreneurial candidates with an interest in new approaches to primary healthcare delivery. The consultant will be part of the Primary Care team at ACCESS Health. The team is designing a Primary Care Pilot Program in select blocks of Lakhimpur Kheri and Sitapur districts of Uttar Pradesh. The consultant will support all aspects of the program and will have exposure in preparing the Request for Proposal (RFP), and liaising with the government.

Responsibilities:

Collect and review relevant primary and secondary data from select blocks of Lakhimpur Kheri and Sitapur districts.

Build relationships with government officials and other key partners and ensure communication and follow up with partners.

Coordinate and participate in meetings with government, semigovernment organizations, and community organizations at the block, district, and state level.

Assist in the development and production of presentations, briefs, and other documentation to support the preparation of the request for proposal and bid documents.

Assist in coordinating field visits during the pre bid process.

Carry out other tasks and responsibilities assigned in relation to the Primary Care Pilot Program.

Skills Required:

Good communication skills in Hindi and English. Candidates with excellent proficiency in Hindi writing and reading will be given preference.

Strong understanding of required government protocols, documentation for submission, and ability to draft letters in Hindi.

Qualification and Experience:

Postgraduate with minimum five years of experience in public health.

Familiarity with the governance structure and public health programs of the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Should be self motivated and creative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Should be willing to travel extensively within the selected blocks of Uttar Pradesh.

Should be familiar with computer programs like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Compensation:

Salary offered will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
