ACCESS Health International is a not for profit think tank and advisory group that discovers and describes best practices in health systems across the world. We manage practitioner to practitioner training programs for healthcare providers to improve quality of healthcare services. We also engage with governments to support improvements of health systems through systems design, financing and delivery in both emerging and advanced economies.
ACCESS Health seeks a dynamic, entrepreneurial candidate to lead our work on health systems design and delivery in partnership with the government and private sector. The person leading this work will work in close collaboration with National and State governments, Development Partners, Private Organizations and Philanthropic Foundations to develop and implement transformative strategies, build collaborative relationships to jointly achieve better health outcomes. Key activities of this role include:
Lead the thinking, design and implementation work on large scale transformative healthcare programs in India and guide the foray into new areas of work
Manage relationships, engage with national and international experts
Manage client engagement and relationship including funding organizations, government and private sector
Contribute to share lessons and disseminate the work to relevant partners nationally and internationally
The Director will lead the health systems team at ACCESS Health in India and be responsible for the overall development, management (financial, administrative, and programmatic), and representation of ACCESS Health’s activities related to health systems in India. This includes, but is not limited to:
Creation and monitoring of annual plans, including annual goals, budget outlays, team composition and fundraising plans
Lead and support the team working on health systems in India
Fundraising for existing and new activities, as per plan
In country personnel recruitment, training, supportive supervision and year end appraisal
Capacity building, motivating, coaching of the quality team, including recommending external training programs and encouraging team members to participate
Ensuring timely internal reporting of the team as well as reporting to donors and other stakeholders
Supporting team in managing relations with Governments and other partners
Qualifications and Experience
Relevant post-graduate degree
Significant management experience, with a technical background in public health
At least eight years of combined technical leadership in health/ social sectors and large scale transformation exercise
International experience in healthcare
Location and Duration
The position will be based in Delhi and lead the growing work for a minimum of two years. The work will include national as well as international travel.
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
