Yvonne Li

Yvonne Li is the founder, chairperson, and CEO of International China Ageing Industry Association. Ms. Li launched the association in 2014 to facilitate what she saw as the ample business opportunities in the elderly care industry, as well as to address the many challenges the industry faces. She is passionate about promoting a vibrant elderly care ecosystem in China through the introduction of best practices that are suitable for the local context. She aims to build high level cultural bridges between China and overseas countries and among key stakeholders in cross sector collaboration. Ms. Li developed her passion for elderly care during her impact investing tenure at Avantage Ventures, where she was co-founder and CEO. Her other work experience spans structured equity derivatives at Lehman Brothers Asia, commercial banking at HSBC, and hedge fund trading at Asia Financial Asset Management.

Ms. Li is a graduate of the Cheung Kong Business School Executive MBA program. She has a Master’s of Finance degree from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in marketing from Monash University. She was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2014.

Jingsong Wang

Dr. Jingsong Wang is currently the head of China Research and Development and of Translational Medicine, Asia Pacific, for Sanofi. Dr. Wang joined Sanofi from Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he served multiple roles with increasing responsibilities, including director of Discovery Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology. Dr. Wang completed his clinical rheumatology fellowship and subsequently was an attending rheumatologist and faculty member at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Wang has also completed a research fellowship at the Harvard School of Public Health.

Dr. Wang’s academic appointments include numerous visiting professorships in China. He is an adjunct assistant professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and was an attending physician at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He has served on the Research Grant Review Committee, National Natural Science Foundation of China; as a scientific grant reviewer for the Medical Research Council, National Institute for Health Research, National Health Service of the United Kingdom; and as member of the expert panel for the Biotechnology Industry Organization congressional staff briefing on biotechnology and autoimmune diseases, in Washington, DC.

Hua Xu

Hua Xu works in the Shanghai office of Goldman Sachs, known as Gao Hua Securities in China. She advises high net worth individuals on wealth and investment management. In 2005, Ms. Xu graduated from the School of Earth Physics and Space Technology at China University of Geosciences. She later earned a Master of Laws degree from Peking University Law School and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business. Following her graduation from law school, Ms. Xu helped establish the Peking University School of Transnational Law. From 2010 to 2012, she assumed the position of assistant dean of the new law school. In this role, she oversaw school administration, academic programming, and administrative policymaking.

Dr. N. Krishna Reddy began his career as a cardiologist. He has since cofounded many enterprises with a mission to develop models of high quality healthcare that is both affordable and accessible.

In 1997, Dr. Reddy cofounded CARE Hospitals, a chain of tertiary care hospitals located in five states across India. CARE Hospitals treat around one million outpatients and one hundred thousand inpatients each year. Advanced procedures at CARE Hospitals cost one tenth of the cost of the same procedures in developed nations, with comparable outcomes. Dr. Reddy expanded the chain across the country as CEO of CARE Hospitals from 2006 to 2013. He currently serves as vice chairman of the company. In this role, he strives to create a model healthcare organization by focusing on care process reengineering to provide safe, effective, efficient, timely, and affordable care; extending the continuum of care beyond hospitals and into communities; and transforming CARE Hospitals into a learning organization.

Dr. Reddy is also the founder, chairman, and managing director of Relisys Medical Devices. Relisys is the first company in India to offer end to end technology capability for stents, catheters, and drug delivery systems.

Bhimasankaram Pochiraju

Bhimasankaram Pochiraju is a Clinical Professor and Executive Director of Applied Statistics and Computing at the Indian School of Business. He is a well known expert in applied statistics and applied Econometrics. Professor Pochiraju previously worked as advisor in the Centre for Analytical Finance, Indian School of Business.

Prior to joining the Indian school of Business, he was working as Adjunct Professor at the University of Hyderabad. He has more than thirty years teaching experience in different universities and institutions like Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata, University of Waterloo, Canada, University of California, USA, Carlton University, Canada, Washington University, St. Louis, USA, and the University of Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania.

Samir Brahmachari

Prof. Samir K. Brahmachari is a J. C Bose National Fellow, the Academy Professor of Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research, and Chief Mentor of Open Source Drug Discovery. He is the Founder Director of CSIR – Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (1997-2007) and former Director General of CSIR and Secretary, DSIR, Government of India (2007-2013). He conceptualized and implemented the functional genomics research in India and the Indian Genome Variation Project. He presently mentors several startups in Genomic Medicine and Big data analytics.

He is the recipient of many national and international awards. He is an elected fellow of The World Academy of Sciences, the European Society of Preventive Medicine and member of all four National Academies of Science & Engineering, India.

Melchor Lucas

Melchor Lucas is the Medical Director for Valulife Mobile X-ray and Laboratory Service and Chua Eye Center. Melchor has almost ten years of experience practicing medicine in general surgery and almost ten years of experience in Hospital Operations at the policy level with the Department of Health in the Philippines. He has performed an assessment of Department of Health Licensed Hospitals in terms of access and quality of care using annual hospital statistical reports from 2011 to 2016. Melchor has seventeen years of experience in private healthcare in operations and in the capacity of a consultant. He is currently also the Hospital Management Advisor for Quezon City General Hospital.

Melchor holds a Doctor of Medicine from Southwestern University, Cebu City, Master in Health Services Administration from George Washington University, Master in Public Health from the University of the Philippines, Manila, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of San Carlos, Cebu City.

Kah Yean Neo is senior director of Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies, Johnson & Johnson, where she is responsible for regional strategic marketing and is an integration leader for Vaccines Asia Pacific. Ms. Neo’s career spans the breadth of the healthcare industry. She has worked in pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and consumer healthcare. She started her career with Janssen Singapore in 1990. She left Johnson & Johnson in 1993 and spent eight years with Bayer Diagnostics, where she took up roles of increasing responsibility in Asia Pacific and the US. She spent time in commercial operations and strategic roles with territories spanning Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Ms. Neo also worked for Consumer AP and Baxter before returning to Singapore to head Janssen Singapore in 2008. She moved to her current role in Vaccines in 2012.

Ms. Neo is the former president of the Singapore Association of Pharmaceutical Industries and is a board member for Care Singapore, an organization focused on helping at risk children. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry and an MBA from the University of Hull. She is an alumnae of the leadership development programs at Smith College and the University of Notre Dame.

Anupama Puranik

Anupama Puranik leads the Life Sciences practice for Southeast Asia at Spencer Stuart in Singapore. She focuses on searches for pharmaceutical, medical devices, and clinical research companies. She coleads the Financial Officer practice for Asia Pacific and is a core member of the Financial Services practice. Ms. Puranik also works closely with the Education, Nonprofit and Government, and Human Resources practices for the region.

Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Ms. Puranik spent fourteen years in India working in investment banking. She has led and managed a number of initial public offerings covering a wide range of industries, including several life sciences companies. She is a member of the life sciences, human capital, and financial services committees of the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and has volunteered with United World College Southeast Asia. Ms. Puranik holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and an MBA in Marketing from the University of Pune.

Erik Langhoff

Erik Langhoff, MD, PhD, is appointed to the United States Senior Executive Service as the director of the Bronx/James J. Peters Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Langhoff was the chief of staff of the Bronx Veterans Affairs Medical Center for ten years and a senior attending physician (double board certified in internal medicine and nephrology). He is also a published researcher with over twenty five years in the healthcare industry - both public and private.

Dr. Langhoff was previously a postdoctoral research fellow, Rockefeller University; instructor of pathology, Harvard Medical School, Dana Farber Cancer Institute; assistant professor of medicine, Harvard Medical School; professor of medicine, Penn State University College of Medicine; and is currently professor of medicine at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine in New York. He is co-founder and chairman of the board of directors of the Bronx Regional Healthcare Information Organization, a consortium of thirty Bronx healthcare facilities and provider organizations. The consortium is sponsored by New York State, with multimillion dollar seed funding to facilitate regional coordination of healthcare utilization, data sharing, improvement of healthcare delivery, and reduction in duplicative and/or inappropriate services in Bronx County, home to approximately 1.4 million residents, including 250 thousand poor and minority veterans.

Dr. Langhoff serves as chairman of the executive committee of the Bronx Regional Informatics Center, which supports health informatics development and education across healthcare providers in Bronx County. Dr. Langhoff is also an advisor to the Danish Council for Independent Research. He is the recipient of the “Outstanding Federal Supervisor of the Year” Award (2006) of the New York Federal Executive Board and the “Peer to Peer” Excellence in Medicine Recognition Award (2008) from the Bronx County Medical Society. He is also a Certified Veterans Affairs Mentor.
