ACCESS Health partners with The Hepatitis Fund for elimination of Viral Hep C

AHI x THF MoU 3~2

ACCESS Health International has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Hepatitis Fund to bolster our collaborative efforts in combating viral Hepatitis C. This strategic alliance is poised to drive significant progress in the fight against this global health challenge through joint advocacy, knowledge sharing, and fundraising initiatives.

Joint Advocacy

Our partnership will focus on raising awareness and advocating for the elimination of viral hepatitis. Together, we will engage with global health organizations, government leaders, and health ministries to amplify the urgency of viral hepatitis elimination efforts. This unified advocacy aims to influence policies and garner support for comprehensive hepatitis control measures.

Knowledge Sharing

The MoU emphasizes the importance of sharing expertise, best practices, and technical assistance. By leveraging the collective knowledge of both organizations, we will enhance our viral hepatitis control and elimination strategies. This collaboration will facilitate the exchange of innovative approaches and proven methodologies, ensuring that we adopt the most effective interventions.

Fundraising

Securing funding is crucial for expanding access to essential services. Our partnership will focus on developing and securing funding for impactful initiatives aimed at improving access to screening, testing, and treatment for Hepatitis C. By pooling our resources and expertise, we aim to bridge the gaps in hepatitis care and reach underserved populations.

By joining forces, ACCESS Health International and The Hepatitis Fund are committed to accelerating progress toward a world free of viral hepatitis. Mr. Girish Bommakanti, Director of Operations & Strategic Growth at ACCESS Health, will oversee the implementation of the initiatives under the MoU. His extensive experience in project management and resource allocation will be instrumental in coordinating joint activities, deploying resources, and ensuring the efficient execution of our agreed-upon projects.

“We are excited to partner with The Hepatitis Fund in this critical effort,” said Dr. Hala Zaid, Regional Director of ACCESS Health International. “This collaboration will allow us to leverage our combined expertise and resources to significantly impact the fight against Hepatitis C.”

Finn Jarle Rode, Executive Director of The Hepatitis Fund, echoed this sentiment: “The Hepatitis Fund is committed to working with strong partners like ACCESS Health International to eliminate viral hepatitis as a global health threat. This MoU is a step forward in our shared goal of ensuring access to screening, testing, and treatment for all.”

This partnership marks a significant milestone in our mission to eliminate viral hepatitis and improve health outcomes for affected populations worldwide. We look forward to the positive impact our combined efforts will bring in the coming years.
