The economic impact of Covid-19 is impossible to determine today, with so much still unknown about how long the outbreak will last and how many will suffer along the way. One thing is certain though — the impact will be lasting and it will reshape our economies in ways we cannot yet predict.

Recently ACCESS Health Chair and President William A. Haseltine spoke with Robert Hormats, a managing director at the investment management firm Tiedemann Advisors. Bob has served under five U.S. presidential administrations, including as senior economic advisor to Henry Kissinger, General Brent Scowcroft and Zbigniew Brzezinski.

In the conversation, Hormats shared his unique insight on the complexities of the Covid induced economic crisis, the steps government may take to mitigate damage, and a prediction for what may happen in the future.
