JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Assistant Manager, Life Sciences Segment will oversee activities related to exports, regulations, and market research within the Life Sciences segment at ACCESS Health International in Cairo, Egypt.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Market Research & Opportunity Identification:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research in target countries to assess the potential for pharmaceutical products.
  • Analyze patent landscapes and regulatory environments to ensure smooth market entry.
  • Evaluate pricing trends and develop competitive pricing strategies.

Strategic Planning & Development:

  • Formulate comprehensive regulatory strategies for market entry in chosen countries.
  • Develop market access plans, including pricing and reimbursement strategies, in collaboration with relevant authorities.
  • Recommend product portfolios for export and develop technology transfer plans.

Pharmaceutical Organization Analysis:

  • Conduct strategic assessments of pharmaceutical organizations in target markets.
  • Identify gaps in market share and develop strategies for growth and improvement.
  • Facilitate partnerships and programs to secure better-negotiated prices for API formulation and manufacturing in Egypt.

Market Access & Regulatory Support:

  • Analyze drug needs and requirements in target countries, encompassing disease segments, import regulations, and industry needs.
  • Build strategic reports outlining these requirements for pharmaceutical companies.
  • Advocate for cost-effective and competitive drug pricing within regulatory frameworks.

Technology Transfer & Investment Facilitation:

  • Foster technology transfer in areas like vaccinations, biosimilars, insulin, and others.
  • Identify and connect investors for industry growth and company expansion in and out of Egypt.
  • Explore opportunities for localized pharmaceutical manufacturing in other countries.

Export Market Development:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential export markets for specific drugs and molecules.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Pharmacy, Business Administration, or Public Health.
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical& Life science market research, regulatory compliance, and business development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic with prior experience working in the local healthcare system. is a plus.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong technical understanding of Lifesciences exports and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and market research tools.

NATURE OF EMPLOYMENT:

The selected candidate will be offered a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability.

LOCATION: Cairo, Egypt

REPORTING TO: Director – Operations & Strategic Growth

GRADE LEVEL: M2
