JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Assistant Manager (Public Health) will manage the Stop Hep Alliance and oversee related public health initiatives at ACCESS Health International in Cairo, Egypt.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of Stop Hep Alliance projects, ensuring efficient execution and successful completion within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including clear objectives, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage project resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and materials.
  • Monitor project progress and identify potential roadblocks proactively.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports on project progress and outcomes for stakeholders.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with public health stakeholders and alliance partners, including government agencies, healthcare providers, community organizations, and advocacy groups.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among diverse partners to achieve shared goals.
  • Coordinate meetings, workshops, and other events to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange.

 Program Development & Evaluation:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of comprehensive public health programs aimed at Hep C prevention, testing, treatment, and care.
  • Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness based on established metrics and data analysis.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations for program improvement and optimization.

 Fundraising & Proposal Writing:

  • Identify and research potential funding sources for Hep C Alliance initiatives.
  • Develop compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate program goals, methodology, and impact potential.
  • Manage the grant application process, ensuring adherence to deadlines and submission guidelines.
  • Foster relationships with grantmakers and cultivate long-term funding partnerships.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in project management, preferably within the public health sector.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage project plans effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated passion for public health and a commitment to health equity.
  • Experience in grant writing and fundraising is a strong plus.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and manage complex programs.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English, with prior experience working in the local healthcare system.


NATURE OF EMPLOYMENT:

The selected candidate will be offered a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability.

REPORTING TO: Director – Operations & Strategic Growth

GRADE LEVEL: M2
