ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND:

 

JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Communications, Relations, and Events Department of AHI is responsible for the entire gamut of strategic internal and external communications and relationship building of the organization, its subsidiary Quality Health Access Private Limited, and Affordable Quality Health.

The candidate is expected to work with this team and contribute to its various communications, outreach, relationship building, and networking activities for the organization.

Reporting to the Manager of Communications, Relationships, and Partnerships, the Communications Associate, shall be required to write and create different forms of content for the organization’s communications needs with a focus on social media. This will include writing blog posts, social media posts, content for the website, and traditional media. In addition, as per the requirement, the candidate will support in the research and writing for bringing out the newsletter, and proofreading of documents as per brand guidelines.

The candidate must have experience to plan out the content in such a way that it helps increase the visibility and follower base of the organization’s social media presence.

The candidate must excel at content creation. This includes but is not limited to daily social media posts, writing online blogs about the organization’s work, creating video content, and keeping an eye out for opportunities to promote our work and its visibility on social media. The candidate must have the experience to plan the outreach in such a way that it helps increase the visibility for the organization and participation in its events. 

Key Job Responsibilities: 

  1. Research and Content Planning:
    • Conduct research to understand the organization’s themes and areas of work.
    • Plan and create content for social media and other communication activities in alignment with these themes.
    • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in the field of social media and digital marketing.
    • Develop a content calendar and ensure consistent posting across social media platforms.
  2. SEO Optimization:
    • Ensure that all online content is optimized according to SEO standards and principles to improve discoverability on search engines.
    • Incorporate relevant keywords and meta descriptions to enhance content visibility.
  3. Content Creation:
    • Write online blogs and create video content that highlights the organization’s work and thematic areas.
    • Develop engaging and informative content to attract and retain the target audience’s interest
    • Create compelling and shareable content that resonates with the target audience.
  4. Review and Proofreading:
    • Review and proofread all content to maintain consistency with the organization’s brand and style guidelines.
    • Correct errors in grammar, punctuation, style, and formatting
  5. Coordination with Communications Manager:
    • Collaborate closely with the Communications Manager to ensure the quality and accuracy of the content.
    • Seek feedback and make necessary revisions as per the manager’s guidance.
  6. Website Management:
    • Regularly create and update website content to keep it current and informative.
    • Monitor website traffic and social media engagement, making improvements as needed to enhance user experience.
  7. Collaboration with Graphics Designer:
    • Coordinate with the Graphics Designer to ensure that all visuals and design elements adhere to the organization’s brand guidelines.
    • Maintain a cohesive visual identity across all online platforms.
  8. Stakeholder Communication:
    • Take the initiative in drafting various written stakeholder communication materials, such as letters, follow-up messages, and responses.
    • Ensure these communications are sent out in a timely manner under the guidance of the Communications Manager.
  9. Social Media Strategy Development:
  • Collaborate with the internal team to define clear fundraising goals and objectives.
  • Develop a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with the organization’s fundraising objectives.
  • Conduct research to identify and understand the organization’s target audience, including donor personas.
  • Use data and analytics to segment the audience and tailor messaging accordingly.
  1. Campaign Planning and Execution:
  • Plan and execute fundraising campaigns on social media, including donation drives, crowd funding initiatives, and giving days.
  • Monitor and optimize campaigns to maximize donations and engagement.

Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Communication/Digital Marketing or any other relevant field.

A candidate with a prior experience/understanding of public health/health systems/health policy/health advocacy/health financing/report writing will be given additional weightage.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Communication/Digital Marketing or any other relevant field.

A candidate with a prior experience/understanding of public health/health systems/health policy/health advocacy/health financing/report writing will be given additional weightage.

Experience

  1. Minimum three years of experience working as a content creator, writer, and social media strategist

Skills/Competencies Required:

NATURE OF EMPLOYMENT:

The selected candidate shall be offered a one-year contract, and mutually extendable, with a probation period during the first six months.
