JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Digital Health Research Associate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research on the digital health sector, focusing on AI policy, data, companies, investments, and markets. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen interest in digital health, and the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable insights.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Market Research and Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth research on the digital health landscape in the MENA region.
    • Identify and analyze potential market opportunities for digital health solutions.
    • Develop actionable insights and recommendations based on market research findings.
    • Understand implementation strategies for digital health solutions in the region.
  • Vendor Management and Evaluation:
    • Interact with the clinical community to understand their needs and challenges.
    • Perform gap analysis to identify areas where digital health solutions can add value.
    • Evaluate vendors and their solutions to identify the best fit for specific needs.
  • Project Support and Implementation:
    • Provide support for the implementation of digital health solutions at identified sites.
    • Study and analyze adoption requests based on project requirements.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for project activities.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Support the analysis of data by creating reports and dashboards.
    • Provide insights that support decision-making processes related to digital health initiatives.
  • Proposal Writing and Training Materials:
    • Assist in writing proposals for new digital health initiatives.
    • Collaborate on the creation of training materials for healthcare professionals on the use of digital health solutions.
  • Case Studies and Impact Assessment:
    • Lead the planning, design, and execution of case studies to assess the impact and effectiveness of digital health initiatives.
    • Analyse data and develop reports to showcase the value and benefits of implemented solutions.

Administrative Duties:

  • Assist in administrative tasks such as scheduling, meeting coordination, and documentation.
  • Maintain records and documentation in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Bachelor’s degree in any science field.
  • An advanced degree such as a Master’s in Healthcare Administration or an MBA in Healthcare IT is desirable.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst.
  • Demonstrated experience in a healthcare technology-related environment.
  • Strong understanding of the digital health landscape in the MENA region.
  • Knowledge of regulations and laws governing health technology and digital information, including data protection and privacy standards such as Arab Health Ministers Council Resolution No. 542 (2018) and League of Arab States Model Law on Data Protection (2018).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in using AI tools is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI policy and digital health trends is desirable.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of preparing clear and concise reports.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact effectively with team members and external stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in Arabic and English is preferred, with prior experience working in the local healthcare system.

NATURE OF EMPLOYMENT:

The selected candidate will be offered a one-year contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability.
