POSITION: Project Manager – Health Literacy

LOCATION: Raipur, Chhattisgarh

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Fixed-term contract for one year

REPORTS TO: Project Lead, Health Literacy program, ACCESS Health International

GRADE LEVEL: M3

JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall implementation of the project on the ground with guidance from the Head office. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in project management and community engagement or related fields and will have the essential skills to undertake the following activities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Stakeholder management and networking with all the relevant stakeholders involved in the project
  • Proficiency in establishing systems and procedures while adapting to local contexts.
  • Execution of the NCD health literacy intervention and related activities in the selected geography
  • Provide orientation to all stakeholders, including the project team and TAG members
  • Maintain an M&E system for the project and incorporate regular feedback
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive records of implementation activities and submit regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Participate and review all the crucial milestones of the project, to ensure the alignment of technical activities with project timelines and milestones
  • Develop all necessary documentation and knowledge products in collaboration with SHRC for dissemination.
  • Willingness to travel frequently in project areas
  • Any other work as assigned by the Project Head/project lead from ACCESS Health. 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Academic Specialisation: BDS/BAMS/BHMS with Master’s degree in Public Health/ Healthcare Administration or related field.

Mandatory Experience: At least 3-4 years of experience working in the domain of health literacy and community engagement with an understanding of the national NCD program and its implementation.

Desirable Experience: 1-2 years of experience in Program Management or related field is desirable.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize and manage projects under pressure.

  • Self-starter with proven experience in completing projects with strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of healthcare systems, policies, and trends.
  • Strong work ethics, humility, and integrity adhering to global standards of professionalism
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal, behavioral, and soft skills, ready to learn and adapt to the situation.
