JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Communications, Relations, and Events Department of AHI is responsible for the entire gamut of strategic internal and external communications and relationship building of the organization, its subsidiary Quality Health Access Private Limited, and its associate partner Affordable Quality Health

 

Our department is currently developing a sub-vertical focused on clear, evidence-based public health communications and health literacy awareness. It aims to create accessible content, engage stakeholders, and run campaigns while utilizing the power of effective communications. Our goal is to empower communities, improve health literacy, and bridge healthcare understanding gaps, fostering better healthcare decisions and outcomes.

As a Research Associate within the Communications Team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing public health communications and promoting health literacy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of research and communication, contributing to the development of evidence-based messaging and strategies that enhance healthcare awareness and understanding among diverse audiences.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on public health topics, health systems, and healthcare policies to inform communication strategies.
  • Analyze data, surveys, and reports related to health literacy, access to healthcare, and health disparities.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to create engaging and informative content for various communication channels, including newsletter articles, reports, blog posts, infographics, and social media.
  • Ensure content is accurate, evidence-based, and tailored to target audiences.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of health literacy campaigns and initiatives to improve healthcare understanding among the general public.
  • Craft materials that simplify complex health information and make it accessible to diverse populations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of communication plans that align with the organizational goals and priorities.
  • Collaborate with team members to create persuasive messaging for advocacy efforts.
  • Track the impact of communication efforts, collecting and analyzing relevant metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, communications, journalism, health communication, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

 

Experience

 

Expected to have 3-4 years’ experience in Research in the public health sector.

Strong quantitative assessment skills with experience on working on data analytics software and MS Excel.

 

Skills and Competencies

 

  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information in a clear and engaging manner.
  • Knowledge of health systems, public health, and healthcare policy issues.
  • Understanding of health literacy principles and strategies.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Experience with content creation and social media management is a plus.

 

NATURE OF EMPLOYMENT:

The selected candidate shall be offered a one-year contract, and mutually extendable, with a probation period during the first six months.

 

LOCATION: Hyderabad/New Delhi

REPORTING TO: Director of Communications, Relations, & Partnerships

 

GRADING LEVEL: E1
