ACCESS Health to co-host session on anti-microbial resistance at G-SPARC 2024
ACCESS Health International is honored to be co-hosting a sessions titled, “Systems Thinking for the Control of Anti-microbial Resistance” under the track of Leadership, Policy, Regulations, and Guidelines on the first day of the Global Summit on Pandemic and Disaster Response Coordination (G-SPARC) 2024.
The session will provide a platform for exploring the leadership necessary to navigate the complexities of IPC and AMR, emphasizing the importance of cohesive guidelines and regulations.Dr. N. Krishna Reddy, CEO of ACCESS Health International, will moderate the session.
G-SPARC 2024, a premier event in global health, brings together leaders from various sectors to foster collaboration and innovation in addressing pandemic preparedness and disaster response. With a focus on multidisciplinary engagement, the summit aims to build stronger, more resilient health systems worldwide. This year’s event is particularly significant as it seeks to draw lessons from recent global health challenges and translate them into actionable strategies for the future.
The session will address the global health crisis of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and the limitations of traditional containment approaches. A white paper will assess AMR’s current state and systemic determinants, followed by a panel discussion on key issues such as systemic drivers, public health actions aligned with One Health, intersectoral coordination, AMR surveillance challenges, and the potential of technologies like genomic surveillance and big data. The discussion will also explore the role of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission in strengthening response systems and the need for a multistakeholder network and improved IPC health literacy.
