Health Futures Networking Reception in China

The Health Futures program in China recently held a special Industry Leaders Networking Reception in collaboration with the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN) in Shanghai. The event, held at the Shanghai Impact Hub, focused on the impact investment in Chinese healthcare industry. More than fifty mentors and partners participated in the session.
 
Dr. Krishna Udayakumar, founding Director of the Duke Global Health Innovation Center, and Wei Fang, Vice President of EHONG Capital delivered keynote speeches. As the Executive Director of Innovations in Healthcare, a nonprofit organization co founded by Duke, McKinsey & Company, and the World Economic Forum, Dr. Udayakumar shared an overview of the healthcare innovations and opportunities for collaborations and engagement in the global perspective. He highlighted the framework that helped the organization to provide values to innovators to increase social impact. Mr. Fang shared the success story of LVKANG Medical Care and Senior Service in China. He introduced insightful lessons from the development of LVKANG to the audience.
 
A panel discussion followed, focused on the understanding of key factors in impact investment. The panelists included:
