Professor John CW Lim is founding Executive Director of the Centre of Regulatory Excellence (CoRE) at the Duke-National University of Singapore Medical School (Duke-NUS), inaugural Chairman of the Consortium for Clinical Research & Innovation Singapore, Senior Advisor at Singapore’s Ministry of Health (MOH), and Policy Core Lead at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute. He has joint academic appointments at Duke-NUS and the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health. Professor Lim is a distinguished healthcare expert, government official, and regulatory authority. He earned his medical degree from NUS and pursued postgraduate studies in public health at NUS and health policy and management at Harvard University.

Dr. Vermund is a pediatrician and infectious disease epidemiologist at the Yale School of Public Health. He also serves as President of the Global Virus Network, is a member of the U.S. National Academy of Medicine, and is President-Elect of the Connecticut Academy of Science and Engineering. He works in resource-limited settings on maternal, infant, and child health, notably focused on HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections, COVID-19, and parasitic diseases. Dr. Vermund’s work in implementation science seeks to increase the coverage and quality of infectious and chronic disease services for children and families. His work on HIV-HPV interactions among women in Bronx methadone programs motivated a change in the 1993 CDC AIDS case surveillance definition and inspired cervical cancer screening programs launched within HIV/AIDS programs around the world.

Dr. Mashelkar is chairman of India’s National Innovation Foundation, the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research, and the Reliance Innovation Council. He is also president of the Global Research Alliance, an international network of organizations that apply science and technology to solve large scale challenges facing developing countries. Dr. Mashelkar was director general of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, one of the world’s largest publicly funded industrial research and development institutions and president of the Indian National Science Academy and of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (U.K.). In 2014, the President of India awarded Dr. Mashelkar the second highest civilian honor, Padma Vibhushan, for his exceptional and distinguished service to the country.

Ranga Krishnan, MB, ChB, is CEO of the Rush University System for Health. Prior to joining Rush, he was dean of Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School in Singapore and an international expert in treating brain disorders of the elderly. As dean of the new Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School, he built the education and research infrastructure. During his tenure at Duke-NUS, the school has developed and implemented a new method of learning called Team LEAD, which has been adopted by other universities and high schools. Dr. Krishnan has written three books, more than fifty textbook chapters, and more than two hundred journal articles.

Robert Hormats, PhD, is vice chairman of Kissinger Associates, Inc. He previously served as the Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy and the Environment from 2009 until 2013, as Assistant Secretary of State for Economic and Business Affairs from 1981 to 1982, Ambassador and Deputy US Trade Representative from 1979 to 1981, and Senior Deputy Assistant Secretary for Economic and Business Affairs at the State Department from 1977 to 1979. He was vice chairman of Goldman Sachs International, which he joined in 1982 and served as a senior staff member for International Economic Affairs on the National Security Council from 1969 to 1977, where he was senior economic advisor to Henry Kissinger.

Blaise Guerrand-Hermès is a managing partner in corporate buyouts, focusing on the financing and development of cross border companies and the restructuring of European brands and assets. He was previously an associate and financial researcher at Ashmore Investment Management, the leading emerging markets asset manager and an investment banker with NM Rothschild in London, focusing on equity issuances and capital markets. He is also deeply involved in his family business and has been a member of the Board of Directors of Hermès Sellier since 2009 and Hermès International since 2012.

Margaret Crotty is CEO of Partnership for Children in New York. She is an experienced leader in the not for profit and private sectors. She has worked in China, Indonesia and across Southeast Asia in education, public health, and international development. Ms. Crotty is the former Executive Director of the Newborn and Child Survival Campaign with Save the Children, and former president and CEO of AFS USA Intercultural Programs. She is a trustee of the Open Medical Institute and the Austrian American Foundation and is also on the Board of Overseers of Northwell Health System, the largest integrated health system in New York state.

John-Michael Lind is a founding member of ACCESS Health and a trustee of The Lind Family Trust and Lind Family Foundation. Mr. Lind is a serial entrepreneur and investor with more than thirty-nine private equity and venture investments to his credit, primarily in the US and in emerging markets. Mr. Lind has more than twenty years of on the ground asset management and investment banking experience, including leadership roles with Ashmore India, Tata Telecom Maharashtra, White & Case in London and New York, Salomon Brothers in New York, and Strategic Partners, a boutique advisory and investment firm he founded.

Roberto Patarca, M.D., Ph.D. brings more than 15 years of industry experience in global medical affairs and clinical research. His research has focused on the AIDS virus, microbial replication regulation, adoptive cellular immunotherapy, drug resistance testing, and chronic fatigue syndrome. He served in Advisory Committees to two U.S. Secretaries of Health and Human Services; was elected to the Academy of Sciences of Latin America; worked with the World Health Organization on standardization of cytokine level measurements and has been published widely.

Hala Zaid, MBBch, MBA, DBA, MD., is responsible for the design and implementation of the strategic plan, including budgets, and for overall institutional development. Dr. Hala is Egypt’s former Minister of Health and Population and an expert in healthcare system design and strategy, healthcare sector reform, medical education, medical research and pharmaceuticals and vaccines manufacturing for more than 30 years. She led the Presidential initiative for hepatitis C elimination in Egypt and has supported many countries with hepatitis C diagnostics, medications, and capacity building. She also led the execution of the universal health insurance system in Egypt as the first fully integrated model in Africa.
