ACCESS Health at World Health Expo TECH 2025: Advancing Digital Transformation and Equity in Health

ACCESS Health International was delighted to participate in the World Health Expo (WHX) TECH 2025, held in Dubai from September 8-10. This year’s convening brought together government leaders, policymakers, and innovators from across the globe to examine how technology and digital transformation are shaping the future of healthcare. The discussions emphasized the role of digital solutions in improving patient care, building resilience, and advancing progress toward universal health coverage.

Representing ACCESS Health, Dr. Hala Zaid, Global Director of International Health Affairs and Regional Director – MENA, joined two high-level sessions that reflected both the opportunities and challenges facing health systems today.

On the opening day, Dr. Zaid contributed to a ministerial panel on Digital Strategies for Country Health Transformation. The session explored how governments are developing national digital health strategies, creating enabling environments for innovation, and leveraging transformative technologies to strengthen health systems. The dialogue underscored that strategic investment in digital health is central to ensuring more efficient, inclusive, and resilient care delivery.

On the final day, Dr. Zaid participated in the session “How Women Are Rewriting the Rules of Health Innovation & Investment.” This discussion highlighted the growing role of women leaders in health innovation and investment, while also addressing the persistent gaps in funding for women’s health. Panelists emphasized the potential of AI and next-generation technologies to bridge these gaps and create more equitable health outcomes worldwide.

Through these engagements, ACCESS Health reaffirmed its commitment to advancing digital health, equity, and resilience. By contributing to global dialogues such as WHX TECH 2025, we continue to advocate for innovative approaches that place people at the center of health system transformation.
