ACCESS Health Contributes to CII-IWN Compendium on Inclusive and Healthy Workplaces

ACCESS Health International provided technical and knowledge support to the CII Indian Women Network (IWN) South Region’s Compendium on Policy and Advocacy, which was launched during the IWN Annual Regional Meeting held in Bengaluru on April 25, 2025.

Dr. Uma Aysola, Global Director of Communications and Partner Engagement at ACCESS Health, represented the organization at the event. As the Lead for the South Region’s Policy and Advocacy vertical, she played a key role in shaping the document, bringing strategic vision and public health expertise to its development.

Titled Redefining the Workplace for Women: Health, Safety, and Inclusion, the compendium was released alongside the IWN 2024-25 Annual Report and Member Value Proposition. It synthesizes insights from over 1,100 professionals, 275 survey respondents, 15 subject matter experts, and 850 webinar participants to identify systemic barriers to women’s inclusion and leadership in the workforce.

The document proposes actionable strategies across five key areas: health and well-being, workplace safety, psychological safety, diversity and leadership development, and work-life balance. Its recommendations, such as strengthening POSH compliance, expanding mental health support, enabling flexible work, and fostering mentorship, align closely with ACCESS Health’s mission to build people-centered, equitable, and resilient systems. The compendium underscores the importance of intersectional approaches to gender equity, positioning workplace reform as a vital determinant of both health and economic progress.
