ACCESS Health Participates at the Indian-Egyptian Pharmaceutical Industries Forum

ACCESS Health International participated as a Technical Partner at the Indian-Egyptian Pharmaceutical Industries Forum, hosted by the Indian Embassy in Cairo in collaboration with Pharmexcil. The forum convened policymakers, industry leaders, and manufacturers to explore opportunities for strengthening pharmaceutical cooperation between India, Egypt, and the wider Middle East and Africa (MEA) region.

ACCESS Health’s engagement reflected its ongoing work to enable equitable and sustainable access to health products in emerging markets. The organisation continues to support pharmaceutical and medical device companies in navigating market entry, addressing regulatory and operational challenges, and scaling responsibly across Africa and the Middle East.

As part of the programme, ACCESS Health’s Global Director for Operations and Strategic Growth, Girish Bommakanti, delivered a technical session and market assessment titled MEA Trends & Regulatory Pathways. The session focused on regional market dynamics, evolving regulatory frameworks, and convergence and reliance pathways that are increasingly shaping how medicines reach patients across the region.

The forum also provided a valuable platform for dialogue with Indian pharmaceutical manufacturers, many of whom expressed interest in exploring partnership models and collaboration opportunities across MENA and Africa. These discussions highlighted a growing demand for structured, compliant, and long-term market access strategies that balance commercial growth with health system strengthening.

Through its integrated approach – spanning regulatory support, localization strategies, technology transfer, export enablement, distribution network development, and stakeholder engagement – ACCESS Health continues to act as a strategic bridge between global innovators and high-growth markets.

ACCESS Health looks forward to building on the connections established at the forum and advancing partnerships that contribute to stronger health systems, accelerated access to essential medicines, and sustainable value creation across emerging regions.
