ACCESS Health Partners with the Open University of China to Improve Training of Social Workers for the Elderly

ACCESS Health International and the Social Work College at the Open University of China recently signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a new strategic partnership between the two organizations. As part of the agreement, ACCESS Health will design teacher training programs to strengthen the education of social workers for the elderly

The collaboration between ACCESS Health and the Social Work College will support the provision of better quality social services for the elderly, particularly in less developed areas of mainland China. The training programs aim to create a cadre of teachers that specializes in training social workers who provide care for the elderly.
