ACCESS Health CEO, Dr. N. Krishna Reddy, recently spoke at a side meeting during the Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Digital Inclusion and Transformation, organized by UNESCAP. Dr. Reddy highlighted the inevitable shift towards digital transformation in healthcare and stressed the importance of ensuring that this transition remains safe, efficient, inclusive, and equitable.
He emphasized the need to uphold the fundamental principles of medicine—do no harm, relieve suffering, and prolong life—even as we embrace digital innovations. Dr. Reddy also addressed the unintended consequences of wearable devices and diagnostic tools, advocating for an oversight framework that protects patients while promoting technological progress. He reaffirmed that digital advancements should enhance, not hinder, the crucial relationship between patients and healthcare providers.
