BMJ Global Health Publishes Article on Improving Quality of Care Through Standardized Patients
Sofi Bergkvist, ACCESS Health Executive Director of International Programs, co-authored an article on the use of standardized patients for healthcare quality research in low and middle income countries. The article, recently published by BMJ Global Health, notes that the use of standardized patients is becoming increasingly common as a means to measure the quality of care. The article offers a conceptual framework for research designs and surveys that use this methodology. A manual and guide for implementing similar studies were also included alongside the article for those wishing to undertake their own such study.
