Cisco Systems and ACCESS Health Southeast Asia Release New Report on How Digital Technology is Key to Achieving Universal Health Coverage

The American tech giant Cisco Systems recently partnered with the Southeast Asia office of ACCESS Health International to explore how policymakers can turn words into action and deliver on promises to provide universal access to high quality care. The report focuses on opportunities around the use of digital technology to improve access to care, focusing specifically on the Southeast Asian region.

The white paper comes at an important junction, with the recent passage of the United Nations Political Declaration on Universal Health Coverage, the most comprehensive agreement ever reached on global health – a vision for Universal Health Coverage by 2030. Based on our research, Cisco and ACCESS Health developed a ten point action plan governments can follow to implement digital technologies to achieve this goal.
