Modern Aging Singapore Workshop on Successful Entrepreneurship in Asia

MA Singapore logoJoin ACCESS Health Singapore on Saturday, September 26, from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm, for the Modern Aging Singapore Workshop on Successful Entrepreneurship in Asia. The event is free and open to anyone interested in creating a business around aging.

The workshop will feature three successful entrepreneurs who will share their stories on what it takes to create a successful business in Asia. They include Jan Croeni, Principal of the Croeni Foundation; Yorelle Kalika, Founder and CEO of Active Global Specialised Caregivers; and Rosaline Koo, Founder and CEO of ConneXions Asia. Each of these entrepreneurs created a business in Singapore and expanded it to the region within a short span of time. They will share their journeys and also some essential tips for aspiring entrepreneurs like you. You will also hear senior role models share secrets of successful aging. This will be an excellent opportunity for networking.

In addition, the top twenty Modern Aging business ideas based on participant submissions will be announced at the workshop. Top teams will be paired with industry mentors and will have a chance to develop their ideas further to gain seed funding. All participants of Modern Aging Singapore will have access to the business development curriculum. The curriculum will also be released on September 26, through the Modern Aging Online Learning Portal.

About the Speakers

CroeniJan Croeni

Principal, Croeni Foundation

Jan Croeni is a serial entrepreneur turned philanthropist dedicated to creating a better world, mainly through the Croeni Foundation. Jan is a Singapore based mentor, advisor, and investor to startups and incubators, with a special focus on cause related ventures, social enterprises, and companies. Jan has cofounded and managed many successful companies, made public offerings, employed more than 250 staff, and reached out to millions of customers in Southeast Asia, all within a few years. Jan has focused on diverse areas like electric mobility, online shopping, and food delivery.

 

KalikaYorelle Kalika

Founder and CEO, Active Global Specialised Caregivers

Yorelle Kalika is an entrepreneur with eighteen years of professional experience in Europe and Asia, across the fields of sales, marketing, and consulting. Yorelle founded Active Global Specialised Caregivers in 2012 to provide specialized caregivers for patients with specific needs, including dementia, diabetes, or depression. The company provides affordable, skilled caregiving services to clients in China, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Yorelle holds a Master’s degree from one of the top French business schools, ESCP Europe.

 

KooRosaline Koo

Founder and CEO, ConneXionsAsia

For twenty five years, Rosaline Koo has led startups and corporate turnarounds in Asia and the US, spanning healthcare, employee benefits, internet, banking, and consumer goods. Rosaline launched two dotcom startups in Asia before moving to ACE Insurance to lead alternative distribution. She also grew Mercer Marsh Benefits to fourteen countries across APAC, increasing their revenue by eight hundred percent over eight years. Rosaline invested her own money to build the first insurance and wellness marketplace in Asia. Within twelve months, her team built the platform, acquired the largest homegrown employee benefits broker in Singapore, and won twenty Fortune 500 clients away from the global incumbents. Rosaline is a frequent speaker on entrepreneurship, human resources, insurance, healthcare, and diversity.
