Arun B Nair is a health systems and financing expert, currently serving as State Director-Kerala at ACCESS Health International, where he is part of the Research, Analysis, and Policy Team (RAPT). His work focuses on health systems research, public financial management, National Health Accounts, and evaluating health financing programs. Arun began his career at the National Health Systems Resource Center (NHSRC), supporting the implementation of the National Rural and Urban Health Missions. He later served as Deputy Director of the State Health Systems Resource Centre (SHSRC) in Kerala, overseeing Universal Health Coverage (UHC) pilot projects under India’s 12th Five-Year Plan. Arun also serves as a technical expert on several committees with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Kerala, including the State Planning Board and the Expert Committee for costing the KASP scheme. He has worked on international health projects in South Africa, Malawi, Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, and Afghanistan.
