Ankita Walia is a public health professional with more than four years of experience. She currently serves as a Program Officer in the Health Systems Advisory and Capacity Building team. She provide project management and technical support to the health systems strengthening projects. She previously worked with Tata Trusts supporting several states in implementation of Digital Non-Communicable Disease Screening Program. She has also served in PATH, contributing to projects such as COVID-19 research, Strengthening Rural Comprehensive Primary Health Care, and the Comprehensive Management of Sickle Cell Disease in various geographies. Dr Walia is proficient in capacity building, research and analysis, as well as project planning and management. She has contributed to developing several guidance documents for the state of Maharashtra. With a background in dentistry, she holds a Master’s in Public Health. Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr Walia is a running enthusiast who has participated in the Ladakh marathon, the highest marathon in the world. She also has a passion for yoga, trekking and painting.
