Sangeeta Singh

Associate Director, Research

Sangeeta Singh is a public health specialist, researcher, and policy adviser with more than two decades’ experience advancing health systems strengthening, healthy ageing, gender equity, and equitable access to care across South and Southeast Asia. As Associate Director, Research for Southeast Asia at ACCESS Health International, she leads and supports research, policy analysis, strategic partnerships, and evidence generation to inform health system transformation and improve population health outcomes throughout the region. Before joining ACCESS Health, Sangeeta served as a Consultant with the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), Qatar Foundation, contributing to global policy reports and convening multidisciplinary expert groups on healthy longevity, women’s health and fertility, innovative healthcare financing, artificial intelligence in healthcare, and health system transformation. She also served as Project Manager for the Penang Age-Friendly City Initiative, guiding Malaysia’s first city through the World Health Organization’s Age-Friendly Cities and Communities cycle. In addition to her policy and advisory work, Sangeeta has extensive experience in academia, mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students and supporting capacity-building initiatives for government, healthcare, and community stakeholders across the region. She holds a PhD in Medicine from Monash University Malaysia, an MSc from Universiti Sains Malaysia, and a BSc from Excelsior College, New York. She enjoys staying actively engaged in community service, exploring diverse cultures, and discovering new cuisines.
