Assessing Healthcare Delivery in Khammam District

This project aimed to understand challenges in healthcare delivery in Khammam, Telangana, and promote integrated care as a core approach. The study sought to ensure a continuum of care with better efficiency and quality and reduced out-of-pocket patient expenditures.

Strengthening integrated care in Khammam through phased interventions and impact evaluation.

Assess the need for a multi-intervention health system strengthening approach for integrated care in Khammam.

Develop, implement, and scale interventions in a phased manner to improve healthcare delivery.

Conduct a parallel evaluation to measure the impact of these interventions.

The MCH service line is a clinical integration model but requires better facility integration and referral systems.

Policy Clarity and Performance Appraisal

The district’s performance appraisals, which affect healthcare delivery, lack systematic clarity.

Awareness Gaps

 Low awareness of insurance programs such as Aarogyasri, with 89% of respondents reporting no insurance coverage.
