HRH Benchmarking and Optimization Initiative, Dammam

ACTIVE YEARS
Completed

Optimizing Healthcare Delivery

The Dhammam project focused on conducting a comprehensive analysis and benchmarking of Human Resources for Health (HRH) within the Eastern Health Cluster (EHC). The primary objective was to evaluate the current workforce distribution across key healthcare roles to optimize resource allocation and improve overall healthcare delivery.

Program Objectives

Benchmarking HRH, identifying workforce gaps, and informing strategic decisions to optimize staffing and enhance healthcare delivery.

Conduct a comprehensive benchmarking of HRH across critical categories.

Identify gaps in workforce distribution and establish baseline metrics.

Inform strategic decision-making to enhance healthcare delivery through optimized staffing.

Public Health Focus Areas

Our Approach

Strategic HRH assessment for optimizing healthcare delivery.

The research focused on five key categories: Physicians, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, Pharmacists, and Administration staff. This benchmarking exercise aimed to assess the current workforce distribution and identify potential gaps or areas for improvement. By evaluating these critical healthcare roles, we gained valuable insights into the EHC’s staffing landscape. This data-driven approach will help inform future workforce planning, resource allocation, and strategic decision-making within the healthcare system. Our findings provide a solid foundation for optimizing HRH management and ensuring adequate staffing across all essential healthcare positions in the EHC.

Key Outcomes

Optimized Workforce Distribution

Identified staffing needs based on patient footfall and bed ratios, enabling more efficient resource allocation.

Data-Driven Decision Making

Provided valuable insights into HRH management, supporting future workforce planning and strategic decisions.

Foundation for Digital Solutions

The findings served as a foundation for the development of a digital solution to bridge gaps between current staffing levels and optimal HRH management, ultimately improving healthcare delivery in the EHC.
