Enhancing Cancer Care Through Collaboration

ACCESS Health is leading a multi-institutional initiative to improve cancer care in Uttar Pradesh, focusing on early screening, diagnosis, and reducing out-of-pocket expenses through increased public financing. Core partners include the State Agency for Comprehensive Health & Integrated Services, King George’s Medical University, Roche India Healthcare Institute, civil society organizations, and practitioners. The program is steered by the government through a Special Interest Group, with three key interventions: strengthening diagnostics and cancer drug supplies, strategic purchasing of cancer drugs for the PM-JAY hospital network, and advocating for increased financing for cancer care under PM-JAY or additional funding sources.
