Health Financing
Our work focuses on developing financing solutions that meet the diverse needs of populations through health insurance systems, public health spending, and innovative mechanisms. How health finance is generated, allocated, and utilized is central to the health system. Our initiatives include analyzing social insurance uptake, evaluating supply-side factors affecting national health financing schemes, and supporting costing efforts. We also study private sector engagement in public health programs, conduct surveys on out-of-pocket expenditures, and provide support towards national health accounts, budgets, and public financial management systems. Additionally, we develop innovative funding models for diseases like cancer, improve healthcare service productivity, and explore technology-driven approaches to support universal health coverage. Through these strategies, we strengthen health systems and promote scalable, equitable healthcare financing models.
